With more than fifty years of custom pistolsmithing under his belt, Richard Heinie has become one of the most well known and respected builders of 1911 pistols alive today. A stickler for quality, Heinie insisted on performing the work on his pistols himself, and has run his shop as a one man operation through most of its existence. While the sights he developed have become a common sight on pistols of various makes and models, Heinie himself continues to work out of his ship even as he advances toward his 82nd year. This handgun was most likely built in the early 1980s. {MODERN}
