**Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine in .38 WCF

.38 WCF. 20" barrel length. SN: 220391. Blued metal finish with octagonal barrel set in walnut straight wrist stock with half length magazine tube and crescent shaped brass butt. Lever action repeating rifle fed by a tube magazine and mounting adjustable rear notch and front brass bead sights. Standard markings include MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. OCT 14 1884. Barrel is struck with two line address and patent mark reading MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./-NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. OCT. 14. 1894-. Item further struck with 38 W.C.F. marking. Item features a saddle ring tot he left receiver. Forward sling stud has sheared off the nosecap.

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with some scattered light pitting and patina. Metal finish has worn down overall with some traces of blue remaining on the magazine tube and edges of the barrel along forend. Finish is primarily gray patina with brown flecking, and some surface oxidation on the flanks and underside of the receiver. Stock shows scattered dents and mars overall with some gaps at the edges of the receiver. Some scattered light dents and mars.
