**Smith & Wesson 4-Screw Model 53 in Box with Both Cylinders & Chamber Inserts

.22 Remington Jet, .22 S/L/LR. SN: K464343. Blued metal finish with case colored hammer and trigger mounting checkered walnut Smith & Wesson medallion grips. Double action six-shot hand ejector revolver with full length matted barrel rib mounting adjustable rear notch and matted Baughman Quick Draw front blade sights. Item features a pinned barrel and recessed cylinder on a four screw frame. Markings include Smith & Wesson monogram trade mark to sideplate and four-line address to the right frame. Barrel flanks show standard maker and caliber marks. Comes in a matching blue cardboard box with Smith & Wesson markings, and cardboard liner. Item currently mounts the .22 LR cylinder and comes with an additional cylinder chambered in .22 Remington Jet, and a full set of six-sleeves permitting this cylinder to fire .22 Long Rifle ammunition.

Condition

Very Good. Bore is dirty with some residues that should clean to Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows a continuous light turn ring to cylinder with some scattered light scratches to frame and barrel. Brown patina forming in losses. Hammer and trigger retain vivid case colors with face of hammer showing some operating scratches. Left grip panel displays some light dents and stains. Action exhibits good timing. Box shows some splits on the corners of the lid with flaking to the finish and edges.
