Short-recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol featuring a threaded muzzle with thread protector. Standard markings include German proofs to the slide and barrel, and American importer mark to forward frame. KG date code indicates this firearm was proofed in 1996. Left slide legend reads HK Mark 23 Cal. .45 Auto. with correct lower-case letters from early production run. Item comes in a nylon soft case with M81 Woodland pattern camouflage and an HK patch to the inner lid.
